this is the cool looking dream hotel broadway and 55th street. the outside lights bathing the building start out violet and as sunset happens, the lights turn to blue, washing the building in a blue glow. it is really a beautiful sight to see. i just found out that they have a fantastic rooftop panoramic bar where they have awesome but expensive cocktails. will definitely check this out next time i am in the NYC.* * *
i found a place to stay on craigslist.org for $70 a night [thank, god for craigslist!]. a bohemian/ hippie/ hipster/ cool couple rented me a room in their loft [30th and broadway]. i was basically just there to sleep since i was out in the city days and evenings. great location [herald square] and where i wanted to be [one subway stop from times square and a short walk to penn station]. this is the picture outside the loft's front door: the empire state building two blocks away.* * *

a wonderful pan chinese restaurant..one of my favorites in NYC.
my sister megan asked me to take a picture of my dinner at ruby foo's, so here it is: kung pao shrimp with coconut rice. mmmmmm...the best!
